About Encore Systems, Inc.

In 1985, Edward and Nancy Drews, principals of Encore Systems, Inc., began research on various forms of tire recycling.

Shredders were primarily producing tire derived fuel. Environmental concerns and enormous startup and maintenance costs of the TDF processing method led the Drews' to search further. They discovered that tire balers had been developed by International Baler Corp. of Jacksonville, Florida in the mid 1970's. A visit to their plant and discussions with the inventor convinced the Drews' that this was a viable option. A used machine was located in New York, purchased and thus began the history of Encore Systems, Inc. in Minnesota.

ESI has experienced tremendous growth with balers located worldwide. Mr. Drews is considered an authority on tire baling and the application of the bales in erosion control and sub-grade road building. He has presented at the following:

The International Tire and Rubber Association, The International Erosion Control Association, The European Tyre Recycling Association, The American Society of Civil Engineers, The Solid Waste Association of North America, and many state and local government offices.

ESI shares all test data, projects and research with their customers.  The BEST customer service.
